At the start of the application cycle, our volunteers will be paired with a senior who is interested in attending the same University, or pursuing a similar career path. During this early stage, our volunteers will work out a timeline for the remainder of the application cycle, helping students organize important dates – such as application and scholarship deadlines – for the universities that they are interested in. This helps our volunteers and students stay on track, which is especially crucial as the fall semester nears an end.

Our volunteers are trained to help students edit their essays and ensure that these prompts are ready for submission. Throughout the application process, our volunteers will regularly meet with students to revise their personal statement and supplemental essays. Because these essays are one of the few ways in which admissions officer can get to know you, this stage of the application process is essential.

Many of our volunteers have had great success in the college admissions process, especially in regard to scholarship applications. With their recent experience, our volunteers help students prepare for both college interviews and scholarship interviews by hosting mock interviews and providing additional tips.
