What does a College Cipher Volunteer Do?
College Cipher volunteers are paired with high school students at the beginning of the college application season. As students begin their application process, College Cipher volunteers act as mentors, primarily helping high school seniors revise their essays and prepare for interviews. Our volunteers engage in one-on-one meetings with their students for the bulk of the application process.

Interested in Becoming a Volunteer?
Step One: Sign Up
First, all you have to do is sign up! Just like that, you are one step closer to becoming a College Cipher volunteer!
Step Two: Complete Our Training
Next, you will be asked to complete our concise training program because we value the time of our volunteers and students at College Cipher. Our training module is followed by a short quiz as well.
Step Three: Interview With Us
Once you have completed our training process, we will schedule an interview with you. This interview will serve as the final stage of our screening process, but it also gives us the chance to determine which student would most benefit from your expertise.
